2/9/14 Guest Blogger: Jamie

More snow, more not going outside, not doing much of anything except trying to steal shoes.  So I’m turning the blog over to Jamie, who writes the 10 things he loves about his school:

What I Love About My School

1.  Meeting people from every nation minus all the discrimination

2.  Jolly, happy, teachers; cool, awesome preachers

3.  Every lesson includes just a smidgen of religion

4.  Learning grammar to keep out of the slammer

5.  Fun lessons

6.  Tutoring sessions

7.  Extended day

8.  Happy Friday

9.  Spirit Night

10. Halloween Fright

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love, support, and sacrifice for my education.  Thank you two for helping me go to school!  You guys are the greatest parents to walk this Earth!  Love, Jamie

*Maggie’s note:  Jamie just took the ACT Saturday.  He is 13 and in 8th grade.  We are all very proud of him.

Here I am taking a split-second moment to concentrate on a chew toy.  Mom tried to get me in full Hairy Bullet mode, but she couldn’t – I was too fast!

Finally made it to Friday.  Truthfully, I didn’t think I’d make it past Wednesday.  Wednesdays are tough because a) Jamie has tutoring after school, b) Jamie and Mom have Karate, and c) Jamie and Mom have boxing after that.  So Wednesdays mean a lot of crate time for me.  Fortunately, Laurel comes by and gives me a break!

I start my 10 week course of Obedience School tomorrow at 9:30.  I can’t wait to see what they have in store for me!  I know I’m going to learn a lot of new things.  Mom has been taking me to pick up Jamie a bit early, and we go to the grassy part in front of the church and Mom puts me through my paces.  I have begun to enjoy showing off what I have learned.  When Mom puts me to “sit” and then drops the leash and walks around me, then heels me out, I hear a lot of people saying, “What a good girl! What a beautiful dog!”  That’s important to me.  I feel proud and I like people to see that I am a Pitbull who is not all fighting and snarling.  Mom is extremely proud of me and loves when people admire me.

I’ll report back from school tomorrow!
