The T-Shirt
I was pleasantly surprised when Mom brought in a package – for me – from the Mailbox. Mailbox is one of those people that I’m kinda “iffy” about, since half the time Mom is cursing when she sees what is in his mouth. But sometimes, she gets really happy about what he spits out. So I sniff him and kind of keep my distance. Anyway.
I got this great WordPress T-shirt from Vanessa at farfetchedfriends and her Young One. Gosh, I miss them! The Young One drew all the pictures and I love the Hairy Bullet, the shoe, the skunk…heck I love it all:
I have thus far not allowed Mom to put the T-shirt over my head. When she tries, I turn it into a wrestling match! Sending out a Woof, a big Tail Wag and lots of Pittie kisses to Vanessa and The Young One!
Recovery
I have just about fully recovered from my stay at the boarding nightmare. The company’s Corporate office did not call Mom back, so she fired off a 2-page nastygram with pictures and other evidence via something called, “Certified Mail”. Mom says this is so that “they can’t say they didn’t get it” and she assures me she is going to see this thing through to the bitter end. My elbows are almost all cleared up, and my leg is much better, too. Thanks again to everyone for all their good wishes while I was recovering on my chair.
Fish
I feel sorry for the Fish, swimming around in their little wet cubes. Something is wrong with Bubba, one of the big goldfish. When Jamie first got him, some of his scales were a little ruffled up and we thought he either hurt himself in the move to our house, or maybe he had “Ich”. So Mom treated him for “Ich” and, although the little ruffle did not go down, he didn’t get any worse. Now he has a huge lump on his side where the scales used to be ruffled up. Mom put him in a Hospital Tank and is giving him Lifeguard and antibiotics. She told Jamie it might be a tumor, but she’s not sure. Mom and Jamie looked up all Bubba’s symptoms on the computer. There’s no Fish Doctor around here, so Mom is winging it. I hope he gets better, because he looks lonely. Anyone out there have good info on goldfish, please write.
Petitions
I don’t know if WP stands for WordPress or WordPetitions. It seems like each and every time I scroll through the reader, instead of getting posts from the people I follow, I’m getting all these graphic petitions about animal abuse and killing. I really don’t think it is fair to post such bloody pictures when your audience is unsuspecting. While I realize abuse is a big problem (I am, after all, a shelter dog), I don’t think it’s right when Jamie wants to look over my shoulder and then sees a pool of blood with a skinned animal in it. This is, after all, a blog, and if you want to write about the subject – fine. I’ll even sign your petition. Just please cool it already with the bloody photos.
Woof! And thanks for reading. Love, Maggie
